2026 Edition: Wheelchair tennis returns to the Plenitude Arena
Following its sporting and public success during its debut edition in 2025, wheelchair tennis will once again feature on the Rolex Paris Masters programme from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November.
Paris continues its run of milestone celebrations. Alongside the 40th anniversary of its iconic ATP event, the 2026 edition will also mark the 50th anniversary of wheelchair tennis in style, welcoming eight of the world’s leading male players (seven qualifying through their rankings, plus one wild card). Who will succeed defending singles champion Alfie Hewett and doubles winners Martin De La Puente and Ruben Spaargaren? The answer will come during the tournament’s final weekend.
The stars are coming to Paris
With the season-ending Masters taking place in Barcelona from 9 to 15 November, the world’s top wheelchair tennis players will battle on the hard courts of the Plenitude Arena, all hoping to leave Paris with a prestigious WC500 trophy.
In the absence of world No.1 Tokito Oda, world No.2 Alfie Hewett will headline the men’s singles draw. The reigning champion, who also lifted the US Open title and finished runner-up at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon this season, will nevertheless face fierce competition from a field brimming with confidence.
Both Martin De La Puente and Gustavo Fernandez recently reached the final of the WC1000 French Riviera Open, with the Argentine emerging victorious after a hard-fought contest. The prestigious field for the 2026 Rolex Paris Masters will also feature Gordon Reid, Stéphane Houdet, eager once again to shine in front of his home crowd, Tom Egberink, Ji Zhenxu and a French wild card, which will be awarded following a qualifying tournament at the CNE on Sunday 25 October!
