A closer look at the initiatives and commitments behind the final Masters 1000 event of the season.

The Rolex Paris Masters continues its ambition to become ever more inclusive, responsible and accessible to all. Following the signing of the French Ministry of Sports’ 15 eco-responsible commitments charter in 2025, the Plenitude Arena and the French Tennis Federation (FFT) have placed sustainability at the heart of event organisation. Deeply rooted in its local community, the Paris Masters aims to contribute to the social and environmental transition of sport through a wide range of solidarity, inclusion and sustainability initiatives. The tournament also reaffirms its commitment to promoting and testing innovative solutions in pursuit of a more sustainable event.

Accessibility as a field of innovation

Committed to innovation in the service of the spectator experience, the FFT will deploy at the Rolex Paris Masters the first project selected through the Match de l’Innovation 2025 programme, which focused on “the spectator experience for all”.

The winning solution is an inclusive pedestrian guidance system, designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Created to accompany visitors from their homes all the way to their seats, without interruption, it adapts to different mobility needs and takes into account the specific requirements of various audiences, including wheelchair users, people with reduced mobility and visually impaired visitors.

This interactive Arena map also enables spectators to navigate the venue easily and locate the tournament’s key points of interest, including the outside courts, food and beverage areas and fan activities. The objective is simple: to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the Rolex Paris Masters experience.

Building on this first experiment, the 2026 edition will also see the launch of a second Match de l’Innovation. Continuing the previous initiative, the new theme will focus on “accessibility for all”, with the aim of identifying and testing innovative solutions that create an even more inclusive experience, particularly for people with disabilities.

An event open and accessible to everyone

Sound for All: enhancing access for visually impaired spectators

The FFT is renewing its innovative Sound for All initiative for blind and visually impaired spectators, whether attending the event in person or following remotely. Accessible through the tournament’s official mobile app, this digital radio service combines the live atmosphere of the Arena with detailed commentary provided by journalists. The service will be available from the semi-finals onward, on Saturday 7 November.

The Awabot robot: creating connections

For the fourth consecutive year, the FFT will offer hospitalised children a unique and unforgettable experience. Using a life-size robot equipped with microphones and cameras, children will have the opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes world of the Rolex Paris Masters. Through a dedicated application installed on a computer, they will be able to control the robot directly from their hospital beds. Among the highlights will be access to practice sessions, player entrances onto court, press conferences and, most importantly, opportunities to interact directly with players. The initiative will take place on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.

Solidarity ticketing

For the 2026 edition, the FFT is providing 1,500 tickets, valid from Saturday 31 October to Tuesday 3 November, to people who would not otherwise have access to major sporting events. The invitations will be distributed through around thirty social and solidarity-focused associations and public organisations that work closely with both the FFT and the Plenitude Arena throughout the year. Through this initiative, the FFT reaffirms its commitment to making top-level tennis accessible to all audiences.

The “Solidarity Fund” in support of Les Restos du Cœur

Tournament partner Veolia will support Les Restos du Cœur through its “Solidarity Fund” initiative. For every ace struck during the tournament, Veolia will donate €10 to the charity.

The Charity Box for players

A donation station will be installed inside the players’ locker room area, allowing competitors to donate sports equipment. Collected by Emmaüs Solidarité, the equipment will then be redistributed to people in need.

A quiet space for wellbeing

Accessibility also means taking sensory, cognitive and wellbeing needs into account. A dedicated quiet space will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy a calm environment away from the crowds and noise of the venue (Level 1 concourse, Area 103).

Education through the CLEMI initiative

As part of the Rolex Paris Masters, the FFT is partnering with CLEMI, the public organisation dedicated to media education under the French Ministry of Education and Youth. Students from schools across France will be welcomed to the tournament and given the opportunity to discover the many professions involved in staging a major sporting event. The objective is to immerse them in a reporting environment, introducing them to media practices while helping develop critical thinking skills.

The “Scan for Good” initiative

For the second consecutive year, spectators will be able to make direct donations through a QR code displayed on the giant screens during matches. Funds collected will be donated to Terre d’Impact, the FFT’s endowment fund, and used to support the development of health-focused tennis programmes in hospitals throughout France. Health tennis is an adapted form of the sport, supervised by trained professionals, designed to improve physical condition, mental wellbeing and social connection, particularly in the prevention and management of chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.

Reducing the tournament’s environmental impact

Promoting sustainable mobility

The FFT encourages all spectators, players and stakeholders to travel to the Plenitude Arena using sustainable transport solutions, including car-sharing, trains, public transport, cycling and walking.

Raising awareness with Game, Set and Planet

From Saturday 31 October to Sunday 8 November, the FFT will present its environmental awareness initiative, Game, Set and Planet, through the ecological tennis fresk. The project reflects the FFT’s desire to help players, fans and stakeholders better understand the environmental impact of tennis and identify practical solutions for reducing it. Already deployed in clubs, regional leagues, committees and major FFT events, the programme has helped raise awareness among more than 45,000 people. The stand will be located on the Level 1 concourse, Area 104.

Responsible food and beverage offerings

The tournament has worked closely with caterers and food service providers to offer increasingly responsible products to all audiences, including certified, seasonal and locally sourced options. Fifty per cent of all food options available to the general public will be vegetarian.

Fighting food waste

Since 2017, the Rolex Paris Masters has partnered with the charity Le Chaînon Manquant to combat food waste. Unsold food from the previous day is collected and redistributed to beneficiary organisations throughout the Paris region. The tournament also provides reusable water bottles to players, who are encouraged to return them at the end of the competition. For every bottle returned, €2 will be donated to charity.

Preventing and combating sexist and sexual violence

The safe space

As part of its commitment to creating a safe and respectful sporting environment for everyone, the FFT is implementing a dedicated system to prevent and combat sexist and sexual violence in partnership with the Plenitude Arena teams. A safe space, located within the venue’s main medical centre, will welcome, listen to and support anyone who has experienced or witnessed such behaviour, offering both a caring environment and appropriate guidance. Through this initiative, the FFT reaffirms its determination to combat all forms of violence and to guarantee a respectful and secure environment for every participant and spectator at the Rolex Paris Masters.
