The tournament bid adieu to the original version of the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POPB) in 2015, and since then has been played in the Accor Arena. 21 months of work were required to transform the Accor Arena into one of the most spectacular indoor stadia in the world.
The facilities are as good as any in the world, putting the arena on a par with the likes of Madison Square Garden in New York, the 02 Arena in London and the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This fully renovated stadium has more space, up-to-date facilities and comfort for everyone involved, from the players and the spectators to the media, partners and VIPs.
The Accor Arena also has improved access, with an esplanade on one level leading into a large glass-fronted entrance area. On the side which backs onto the River Seine, a raised walkway links the arena with the Parc de Bercy. This new entrance will make it easier for spectators to come and go, and also to get to and from the car-parks around the arena.
Accor Arena also has: ● An increased (and flexible) capacity of 14,000 for tennis (and over 20,000 for concerts). ● Over 3,000 m² of high-quality lounge areas and 54 loges. ● An entrance area stretching over 2,000 m² with permanent access to the city of Paris, and which is more welcoming and has more services available to the general public.
